Here's where we revisited today - Gee's Bend!
Last year we visited a quilter Mary Ann Pettway at Gee's Bend Quilters Collective, to record her singings. 

This time we asked 4 ladies, Mary Ann, China, Larine and Nancy Pettway, and recorded over 10 spiritual tunes!
The harmony of Pettway Quartet was spontaneous and really beautiful. It had a kind of deepness which we never learn - they have been singing these songs through their lives.
And they made a poundcake and fried chicken for us - this was the happiest thing in this visit and tasted so good.

They were all warm-hearted, talked a lot and laughed a lot.
Hope to come back again soon, to learn how to make such a good fried chicken!
